Quickie

Soooooo you may be tired of hearing about a vacation I haven't been on yet, but that's too bad, I think. For you, anyway.

There are a lot of things I need to do before I leave, and I am resisting the urge to create a new blog based around this idea, or even a sidebar so you can follow a long with me as I put everything off until the last minute. I won't do that, though. I have a list on my desktop, it's just mundane donkey girl scout crap, but crossing things off the list gives me a sense of marching toward destiny, that destiny being: getting in a car and not checking my work e-mail for a week.

And about the work e-mail: I'll say that I'll check it every day, but I won't! I won't even check my voice mail! Because I hate it! Oh sure, I'll probably get to a coffee shop with Internet access a few times during the week, but I've timed the vacation such that I won't be required to essentially work for two to three hours a day while on vacation, like I did last year. It was a pain. I will not be doing it again. I have few reasons to care.

Among the list of Things To Do Before Vacation are getting a haircut and getting highlights. I don't really need the highlights for vacation. I don't need them for anything, really, other than vanity, but if I go to the Aveda Institute then vanity is so inexpensive.
